It is good, straightforward Schutzhund training, obviously on a young, developing, well-bred dog. The no-sleeve work to start so that the dog does not see it as a total sleeve motivation. Schutzhund cannot be a TOTAL sleeve game: if it is and the dog gets hurt (e.g. Jaws Vom Argosloss, USA Chpshps 1976, decoy fell on him during recapture) the dog pusses out and embarrassing blows the bitework–the most important of the three phases. These guys are good. Pros. This is total Schutzhund.

It’s not clear to me how this is a protection dog. This looks like a Schutzhund dog being trained – Schutzhund is a sport requiring great skill and talent, but the protection phase of Schutzhund is NOT real protection. Assailants don’t wear sleeves and crack whips and reward the dog by slipping the sleeve at the end.
