What are some good sites advertising dogs for sale/up for adoption? Preferably UK sites?

I have got all my pets from this site:

www.freeads.co.uk

You can even make an advert for the type of pet your looking for via the wanted section

You should not buy or sell puppies on the Internet.
Try a resuce centre if you are looking to adpot. If you are after a particular breed then try the breed rescue.
If you haven’t got a breed in mind try
    Battersea Dogs Home: http://www.battersea.org.uk/
    Wood Green Animal Shelter: http://www.woodgreen.org.uk/
    Dogs Trust: http://www.dogstrust.org.uk/

If you really want reliable good homes advertise at the local vets.
Also advertise at the PDSA clinics and such charities,

    I would recommend Pet4home.uk.

I recently advertised on there and pups were sold within a week

epupz.com is an amazing site. You can advertise to sell your own dogs there, buy new dogs and it gives you loads of great advice. I’d defiantly advise it. I bought my whippet there.

It really depends what you are after.

For pedigree dogs i like the kennel club website or champdogs.

You can also type your breed into google and search for breeders with their own website.

If you are after a mutt/cheap pedigree i suggest you check out dogs trust or rspca website for dogs that need re homing.

Do not buy a mutt/cheap pedigree from a breeder.

Buying a dog via the internet really is not a good idea. Apart from the high number of scammers active on the internet with fictitious dogs for sale, you really need to see the parents in their home environment if you are thinking of buying a puppy.
However, instead of buying a puppy, if you are not too fussy about the age and type of dog, why not consider giving a home to a rescue dog.

One website I would reccomend is

    http://www.dogstrust.org.uk

They have a search facility allowing you to find one of their rescue dogs that matches your requirements.
