We are waiting for blood tests for this or Valley Fever. I am so scared. Is there anything I can do for her in the meanwhile, and or anything that would indicate one or the other?
Running a cool air vaporizer will help her be more comfortable.
Kennel cough is an airborne virus, so unless an infected dog has been breathing in the same area, it would be hard for her to catch it.

If this is a cough that has lasted a few weeks (too long to have waited) they get kennel cough at dog shows, pet shops, groomers and even at the vet office….It is viral (parainfluenza) then I believe a bacteria infection….after this clears up get regularly with the yearly shots a Bordatellosis vaccine your vet should suggest this but usually says if you are going to leave your dog at the kennel but I’d say get it anyways as you can see this if picked up from more common places other than a kennel…..
