just type in “Maltese Rescue” in your ‘search’ google or what ever you use on your computer and put in your city with it. Something should come up nearby and contact them. Some rescues charge minimal for vacs and neuter, whatever it will be much much less than buying from a breeder and you will know more about the dog. A lot of groups will help you, that is what they are there for. Good Luck!

Best of luck and you won’t be sorry with a Maltese. They are so loving and loyal. I’ve always had large dogs, Retrievers. I am spoiled now! no going back!

When beginning your training regime, timing is everything. I have found that most Maltese are more receptive to training first thing in the morning after a good nights sleep. That said, begin your training immediately after you dog wakes up first thing in the morning. He’ll be both alert and active and hopefully ready to give you his complete and undivided attention.

Hi I recently just got myself a maltese. He is 14 weeks old but every time I try to train him he prefers to walk to his bed, even with the bed removed he will sit in a corner or anywhere he will feel cosy in. What do you recommend? I used to have a chow chow but she learnt each trick within less than a day so I am being very patient with this one =)

However the only thing I can think of is to use a leash to stop him walking away??
