Dogs consume natural resources just like humans, don’t they?

So why don’t we all slow down with the breeding.
Who cares? I own 4. They are worth every penny.
People like you with hidden agendas bother me more.

The question should be, What is the impact of ignorant owners? Hang out on Y Answers for a day and see all the idiots having litters of puppies with little to no knowledge of how to even feed a dog properly let alone care for a litter. There are questions daily here that are enough to make anyone beat their head against the wall. People who don’t know jack about breeding, not even simple things like gestation period.
This is where there is an impact in shelters and rescue. Out of the 39% who own a dog, probably 20% of those are irresponsible idiots.
"Dogs consume natural resources just like humans, don’t they?"
When you look at the diet of what the majority of dogs eat, it is beneficial to the environment because the commercail dog food companies are a dumping ground for all the things not edible by humans. All the rotting meats and veggies from groceries and grease from restaraunts, all the animals put down from diseases etc… All the beaks, feet, feathers, bones, blood of other animals, all the parts not used for human consumption.. all goes to the pet food industry. So if 73 million dogs were not eating this garbage, what would happen to it? That would have a huge negative impact on the environment.
So dogs are good for the environment. They consume some of the water supply. A drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things.
I do NOT support HSUS ran by a bunch of PETA freaks who kill animals and hide behind their real agenda’s. Peta and HSUS won’t be happy until there are NO pets.
