I asked because I want to know because my friend’s dog is dying.
We both said it is impossible for that dog get sick too quickly.
Give me something to understand.
Thank you.
Parvo is a virus, air born, meaning the pups down the street can have it and if you let your dog outside and he is not fully vax(and sometimes if bad immunity probs even the shots do not protect) the wind can carry the virus down the street to your house and your dog outside can catch it. Depending on the immunity of the dog determines the severity and fast demise. I have seen small pus die in 3 days, dehydration from diarrhea and vomiting,it is truly heartbreaking. When I have a puppies they are kept in a warm room the first 2-3 weeks, they never go out side till 9 weeks I adjust the temp in room as they get older, they have all 3 shots for parvo and distemper before ever seeing a blade of grass or go to the new home. I see people in pet smart with a puppies letting it run on the floor and contact with other dogs. The store asked that all pets be on a leash and vaccinated, but no proof is every demanded, so you can only hope. I educate many on this,as parvo CAN kill your dog, and break your heart!
Good luck to your friend’s dog, if not better, that an easy road to the Rainbow bridge is found.

Well, from what i think your asking (its kinda hard to understand) you want to know basics.
Parvo many times takes 7 – 10 days to "be noticed". Its very contagiouse in puppies and dogs without their parvo shots.. usally in puppies it takes 3 sets of shots to be immune because their system fights off the meds a little at first. Sleeping alot more, vomitting, bloody runny stools are the basic signs..
ADD>Redbone, i believe its 80% treated for parvo will survive, am i backwards or you?

parvo is the fastest killing disease known to canines….it can take 7 days to pass away..
when a dog gets parvo they die from dehydration cause they are puking and have diarrhea constantly..
if your friends dog has parvo then y hasnt she done the right thing and take it to the vet instead of watching it die and letting it suffer?? thats just wrong…
parvo is very infectuous and is an awful death for a dog when there are vaccines and vets that can help them…
tell your friend that instead of watching the poor dog die to take it to get medical care or assist it in going to the final resting place…

Parvo is like cancer for dogs. They get it by smelling a sick dog’s feces. My dog had it and was in the vet hospital for a week. They warned me that even with treatment it was a 80% chance that he would die but he pulled through. It’s sad to watch them sick like that, throwing up and having diarhea. Without treatment he will die soon unfortunately.
ADD- My vet said it was a 8 out of 10 chance that even WITH the antibiotics, IV and Vitamin B shots that he got that he still could die. They told me before I paid so that I would be informed before spending the $. It cost $820 but I’m so grateful that he made a full recovery!

Experience
Pavo attacks The dogs intestines, and practically rips them to shreds, causing severe diarrhea and blood loss through the feces. i am really sorry, but it is incredibly unlikely that your friends dog will survive… There is a vaccination against parvo Virus, and really all dogs should be vaccinated… in the mean time keep any other dogs away from the poorly dog and try not to touch the infected dog and then touch another dog because Parvo is extremely contagious. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I really hope the dog pulls through…

Parvo is a nasty and deadly disease. The puppy or dog can die in days. Mine however survived. With proper medical care and a lot of prayer some live. Good luck, mine were very sick for around 10 days.
